The architect, the millionaire and “the girl in the red velvet swing” – The 1906 Gilded Age murder and resulting trial of Harry Kendall Thaw for the public murder of Stanford White at Madison Square Garden over model and actress Evelyn Nesbit Thaw was labeled the “Trial of the Century.” We will explore the Gilded Age conditions and lifestyles of New York City and beyond that brought these three together for a real-life story that was more dramatic than any fiction.
